The biggest beach of the island , there are parts that you can have easy access in to the sea and others little bit rocky , you must prefer the part closer to restaurant Thalassa at the east side .
It's easily approached by car , ideal for families and also Kalafatis is the most organised beach in water sports with the windsurfing centre fanatic from ,Pezi Huber , Water sports from Dimos with jet ski , water ski , wakeboard and plenty of sea games .
The best diving center of the island is here with Waldemar , also there is a shipwreck 2 miles away in depth of 20-25 metres nice for diving excursion .
Even if you are beginner or expert the three of them are very professional . The oldest traditional fishing village of Mykonos is in the bay . We called divounia or the breast of afrodite because are two mountains in to the sea looks like breasts .
Also there is a fish tavern Markos . There are two taverns on the beach of kalafatis , both with nice food the one called Petrino with nice international food and specials fish menu , if you would like shells you must order Petalides (are small shells on the rocks ) and the taste is much better than sea urchin . The other restaurant at the end of the beach located on a ship dock called Taverna Thalassa . Also there is an italian restaurant with a name Bandana , my favourite meal is Bolognese pasta from chicken .
If you want to join an other beach very close and only 300 metre far from kalafatis beach to the west side , is Agia Anna beach . Is interest to eat to the restaurant Cave ( is like a cave ) exactly in frond of the sea .
